Andrea Claire Studio is a new venture of Andrea Claire Lighting, which has been producing custom lamps since 2004. Based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Andrea Claire Studio started in 2010 specifically to develop & launch a new line of bespoke, green lighting.

CONSTANTIN, which will launch at the 2011 International Contemporary Furniture Fair, is the first of several designs in development. Merging the latest 3-D rendering technologies with a commitment to hand-crafting techniques, the CONSTANTIN line features a proprietary method of forming bamboo over metal frames and armatures finished in brushed brass, satin nickel, oil rubbed bronze, or chrome. Andrea Claire Studio will work closely with its clients to produce chandeliers that meet specific size and finish requirements while drawing on the unique vocabulary of shapes, materials, and hanging systems it has developed.

Andrea Claire Studio takes its inspiration from the highly developed body of abstract paintings of its founder and principal designer, Andrea Claire. She believes that abstraction is a throw of the gauntlet that challenges us to redefine and re-imagine space and its objects or expressions. Influenced by Isamu Noguchi, the Andrea Claire Studio takes these ideas, lifts them off the linen, and advances them into a line of sculptural lighting.

CONSTANTIN currently includes a chandelier, floor lamp, and table lamps. All pieces are handmade and original, with specifically machined components & an architectural attention to detail in their construction. They are sculptural, green, and customizable.
